my amazing mam mam

so i just found this photo of my mam mam aka gran. aka Beth aka cool lady.
its a black and white image that has been coloured.
and the others are of my mum and aunts and uncles. just thought the clothes and stuff were incredible compared to now; prob where my obsession with retro/nineties/glo mesh came from....

and i'm currently getting my folio together for end of year semester,
work will be up soonish. i think.

while trying to write an essay on Galliano and bricolage and sXe....its not happening.

what else.
my friend doing photography has work up at workshop. 18 sunday Oct.
the others are still in italia, having an amazing time doing rad work.
i'll be out tonight celebrating/uncelebrating the fact that im one year older at Prudence tonight, thought the array of tom waits might add to the mood.

stuff im working on at the momento

Thought that dissected rats were kinda cool, so i'm just doing these working in acrylic and water colour on un-stretched canvas, exploring the abject and anatomy and just the general process of creating an image for the images sake, they're almost finished now then i'm moving onto either birds or giraffe doing similar things.

saw drewfunks show at oh really in newtown. then to chingalings.
then to dirty shilows for pink reason and bed wetting bad boys, then got to louis but didn't quite make it.
then to courthouse for lunch, then on to flip out fest for an amazing time and dancing and being silly. then to oxford art factory for more frivolities and teen archer.
then homewood bound.

Models

So I have to do a presentation on models god knows where to begin, was thinking comparisons of models to animals...
Or models and sexual abuse
Or models being so skinny it's annoying
Or why we all give a shit

New words are always fun.

Flaneur: man, people watcher, not engaging but aware
Flaneuse: female, window shopper
Appelation: the way in which advertisements “talk” to the consumer
Pseudoindividuality: a false idea of individuality- Frankfurt School
Bricolage: mode of taking an object out of its original context and into a new context therefore dislocating the object from society.
